Got a young family? Is your garden a mess by the end of the summer holidays following numerous paddling pool drain aways and children splashing in the now waterlogged grass?
For next year why not try a new landscaped garden? Winter/spring is a good time to re-landscape your garden – as the children won’t be so inclined to be out playing in it!
Having grass is nice when you have young children, but the maintenance, especially over summer, can be very draining. Our solution:
- Have a patio area – textured stone is a good idea as this won’t be slippery. You can use this for your paddling pool or to have it as a seating/table area when the family is older.
- Have a drain – great for when you are tipping away the paddling pool or even just washing the stone.
- Consider bark especially for play areas – this is an attractive and safe product to have in your garden and you can place your child’s swing or slide or even jungle gym in it. Later you can use the area for seating, or potted plants.
