How to clean up garden furniture

If garden furniture is not maintained, it will soon be covered in dirt, mould or potentially become damaged, especially during the wintertime. Whether it’s the summer and you’re using your furniture on a regular basis, or the winter and you’re thinking of packing it away, be sure to give it a thorough clean every now and then. If your furniture is really mouldy and you want to bring it back to life, we have a few tips for you.

To clean the mould off, get a bucket, fill it with hot water, add ½ cup of white vinegar and ½ cup of the stain remover. Once mixed, take a soft-bristled brush (an old nail brush is ideal). You can then gently scrub the mould stains so they disappear. Always test a hidden area for before you begin though, just to form sure it doesn’t damage the material in any way. If the stains are a touch on the stubborn side, then apply lemon juice for a stronger kick.
